Christian Art

Christian Art, in this era of art, the arts are related to Christianity and God. This is the era of Christianity being held and dominating the world of art. Though in this era, still the Greek art architectures and artistry are still applied in some creation in these era. For example are the structure of architecture, the doric orders that are applied in some churches. Most of the architecture from this era, was mostly churches. Many churches was built in the city of Rome than the city of Greece. I see that in this era, painting are not that popular, but images in clothes are, the images in the cloths are weaved by weavers in Early Christian Art era. Many people find the arts in this era, amusing 'cause many people are catholic, so they are fascinated by these work of arts. Christianity back then are not legal, until Constantine legalized it.

According from what I have researched about this era, that back then, when Christianity was not legal. Christians cannot make a symbol of a cross directly, so they made a representation of a cross, a two fish that has a pattern of a cross. In this kind of way, they will not be punish 'cause they will not think it was a cross, but if you will look closely you will see the pattern. But after Constantine's law of making Christianity legal, they made cross directly, symbolizing God. In these era the Bible was created and it is said to be it is created by four evangelists named John, Matthew, Luke, Mark. The sculptures in this era are most likely carved from wood and it is on a wall, where you can only have one view of it, in front.

The predominant styles in this era is good, most of it are related to Christianity and religion. The subject matter on this era was all about Christianity and religion, their God and their beliefs. I think it has a few influence on me, because I do not use much of their predominant style. I only use their style if I am required to use and do it. I am not saying that I do not like Christianity, I am a Christian also, and I believe in what they believed. It doesn't mean that if your a Christian artist, you'll use the Christian Art's predominant style and figures.

Ancient and Classical Arts

The most striking impression for me is from how it evolve, from ancient art to classical arts. Ancient arts are the first arts and styles that are performed and used. Mostly, the arts that are created in Ancient arts, are not done and created representing as Art, but representing as their communications. The cave paintings that are available int the ancient arts era. The Paleolithic, Mesolithic, Neolithic age, but before all that, it started first with the Stone age. Classical arts, particularly Greece and Rome, the sculptures that are made in Greece that are famous. That Greeks first used geometric figures and patterns in painting and making arts and sculptures. The history of Ancient Greek paintings, the vases, sculptures, arts and their beliefs in their own gods and goddesses. The Greeks believed that the human beings is the center of the universe, the "measure of all things". Also the different stages and period that came over Greece.

I believe that these two great eras made allot of influence on my artistic styles as an artist. I can't draw anything if these eras were never been born and discovered. In Classical arts: Greece and Rome, I learned that the geometric figures that I used sometimes came from these era. If geometric figures were not born and discovered in these era, many artist might be stuck on the era of the Ancient art the Paleolithic, Mesolithic, Neolithic ages. Artists should know that, they owe their artistic style from these two eras, the Ancient and Classical arts. The predominant artistic style that interests me in the Ancient arts is the cave paintings, that they drew it according from exactly what happened that day, for others to know. These cave paintings is extraordinary, because caveman used it also as a communication. While from the Classical arts: Greece and Rome, I am interested in the sculptures and vase paintings that are made in that era. The sculptures that are famous now, and vases that lived centuries. The detailed sculptures that was carved from bronze and architectures of the Greeks.

Somehow I think that it would be possible to create artworks inspired by these two eras. From the Ancient arts era, it would be just like painting simply and not that good, because you don't need a good painting, because it is based from what happened, you don't need the details of your painting. It can be done easily by just stroking the brush and thinking what your gonna paint. While in the Classical arts: Greece and Rome, it can be done easily also by just drawing some vase and putting some styles in the vase by using geometric figures. Geometric figures are used in these era, so it will be use if these will be the theme of your artwork. Making geometric shapes and figures will be known and understood that the theme of the art might be based on the classical arts on Greece and Rome. Though your art will not look that good if you don't understand these Ancient Arts and its history, unless you know it. You also need to be inspired in making these kinds of arts, and not only physically but emotionally. You need to feel what you are doing, its like your expressing and foreseeing back from these era, when you create certain arts.

Realistic Art? Art as Alteration? Distorted Art?

Realistic ART? Art as Alteration? Distorted Art? In this three kinds of arts, which art you like the most? In fact all of these arts are really beautiful, well it depends on the person. All person has a different taste in art, also different interpretation. Whenever you look at an art, you might say that it does not look good and there are some mistakes that has been made. For other people, the mistakes that you see, is part of the art that they have made. For some ordinary people who doesn't know how to look at an art, for them their interpretation on an art is simple. There are also people who appreciate art very well. Most of the people who like art are people who are wealthy and rich people, because it is a decoration in their house, it gives more depth, design and more lively. Actually everything can be called an art, it depends on how you interpret the item. In my case I've seen allot, things that I can't say that it is an art, but for others it is. Most of the arts are the simple things, for examples are painting, drawing, design, decoration and many more, they can consider it an art.

What I like most in these three kinds of arts is the Realistic art. Whenever I see a realistic art it makes me smile, because it really looks good. I get mesmerized in sketch drawings, because it really looks beautiful and look really the real. That's why I've been practicing sketching pictures, and I've been enhancing it also. Based on my observation in these kinds of realistic arts, it turns real because of the shadows. The light and shadows are really important in making realistic arts, such as, sketching pictures. Well most of the people nowadays also want realistic arts than art as alteration and distorted arts. Art as alteration and distorted arts are famous back then, well they still are, but few people appreciate this kind of arts. Nowadays, 3D arts are really famous in these kind of era, 3D art can be classified as an realistic kind of art. That's why art as alteration and distorted art in these kind of time are not that famous anymore.

Art as alteration looks like this, on the right side. On the other side, the left side is what we call a "distorted art". Nowadays few people bought and make this kinds of artistic masterpiece, because few people appreciates it. 3D art can be found everywhere in other countries, because they perform and make street 3D arts, that's why it is famous, and eventually it spread it the whole world. "Art as alteration" and "distorted art" are like abstract figures and looks. But these kind of arts hasn't been lost yet, still there are people making these kind of arts. People who make these kind of arts are probably following the footsteps of the old famous painter, and they might be trying to revive these kinds of arts, and blend it to the environment today.

Impromptu Art

Whenever I create an impromptu art, in my head there are thoughts coming from it like, what would my creation look like when it is done, shall many people like my work and a lot more questions in my head. Well most of the time I focus on what I do, because I have this hobby of perfectionism, I want everything to look perfect so people would get satisfied. I like making impromptu art, whenever I have nothing better to do I usually create one. Most of the time I just usually copy from the internet whenever I make impromptu art. If I want to make one of my own, I need to have a large amount of inspiration. Well most of the time I like to create an impromptu art when I see a spectacular view. Most of my creations I used pencils different kinds of pencils that I have. Sometimes I get challenges from my friends just to prove my artistic skills in art. Whenever I accept challenges from my friends I feel challenge and excited, because I don't imagine what would it look like whenever it is done. So usually I accept their challenges to also enhance my skills.

In my case, nowadays I don't usually make impromptu art compared to the old days. I am more challenge in making a 3D art, because it looks wonderful, and it is hard to make. Most of the impromptu art that I create are not all finished, because I get tired and bored of it. I know that impromptu art is not that easy, because most people don't know how to draw. I like doing 3D art, because it is challenging, how to make it more lively and more realistic. On the other hand impromptu art is not that challenging like the old days, because back then I don't know 3D art and paintings exists.  Impromptu art are most likely not planned and are just suddenly made without plans. But now that i'm on my college years, we will be making many impromptu art and drawings. Not only in drawings, but in video editing and photo editing we have to make an impromptu art. We must expect and get ready for this to happen, because it can be suddenly given.

After making some impromptu arts, sometime I get excited and challenge what would it look like. Usually we make an impromptu art whatever we see, we will draw that and make an art out of what we see. Most of the time we do this on our Art History subject, we have made 5 impromptu arts. I hope that we will make more impromptu art, because it is challenging. My skills in making this are really enhancing, the way as I see things and make things. You don't have to have a great imaginative skills in making impromptu art, you can use your surroundings in making this. Last time on our Art History class our professor told us that we join the audience in the gymnasium in school, because there is an event going on. Our professor instructed us to make an art out of what we see in the gym, what is happening in the gym. The event was an opening for the sports event held in lyceum. I drew what I saw and improvised it. I drew the stage whatever props in there I drew it. Also I drew what was happening, the singing contest with the three judges.

most influential in arts and design

What is the definition of arts? in what era did Arts started? what era is the most important and influential? who is the most influential person who made arts famous? whose the famous artist in the history of arts?

The definition of arts, according to my research, art is a diverse range of human activities. For examples are visual arts, which includes the creation of images or objects. In field of arts it includes painting, sculpture, photography, and other visual medias as arts. According from what I have also searched, about the history of arts, it says that art began on the paleolithic era. In my opinion and belief, it started at the prehistoric era, where caveman and hominids are in the world. The caveman and hominids are the first one who made arts, by painting what they have done. Not only they made the first art, but also the first way of communication, it has been used by the caveman to know what they have done and let the other caveman know about it. Anyway, that's not what we are talking about, we are talking about the history of arts.

What will be the most important and influential era? I think it will be the paleolithic era, because it is the first sculpture art that was ever made. Also the neolithic era, because painting started in this era. If these era's were not been discovered or created, artist will not be inspired and they will not know art. In the paleolithic era the sculpture that was been discovered was "Venus of Willendorf" and discovered that it was made 28,000-25,000 BCE. The Venus of Willendorf  looked like a fertility image that has no facial features and also a ball like shapes. While in the Neolithic era, the world's first landscape was made, a landscape of a Volcanic Eruption, and it was made around 6150 BCE. In this two era that I presented were not the famous part that made a change for the history of arts. There are still many parts of the history of arts that are important and influential. All of the remaining era of the art history are all important in the history.

In my belief and in my understanding the most influential era was the era of the Renaissance. In these era Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo Buonarroti, Raphael Sanzio, Titian. The famous painters and artist was the one's who inspired many artist nowadays, because of their masterpiece many artist are touch by their works. Even I were touched and inspired by the works of these famous artists that are famous in the art history. I also dreamed about seeing these famous works in person by these famous artist.
Leonardo da Vinci was one of my idolized artist, because of his artistic way and his creation also his passion for arts. I'm sure that I am not the only one who was inspired by their works. Nowadays many artist are beginning to be known, because they are inspired by the works of these people in the Renaissance era.

Mona Lisa

The famous, well known painting called "Mona Lisa" painted by Leonardo da Vinci. According from what I researched Mona Lisa was a person. A woman named Lisa Gherardini the wife of Francesco del Giocondo. How come that the painting's name become Mona Lisa? The word "Mona" came from the word Madonna which means "my lady", for short it's called "monna" but Leonardo changed the spelling and made it a single "n". Leonardo began painting the Mona Lisa since  1503 or 1504 something like that year, in Florence, Italy. According to many people, there are mysteries from that painting that Leonardo left for the people, but it hasn't been revealed and discovered yet. The Mona Lisa painting has survived for over 500 years and still counting. Since the paint that has been used in that painting was not that good and didn't have the capacity to last longer. Museum who held the Mona Lisa painting, did some cleaning and retouching. Jean-Marie Hooghstoel, was one that who was responsible for restoring the painting, and for the galleries of Musee Napoleon.

One of the mystery of the painting is her eyebrow, because there's only one stroke of brush in her eye and in her eyebrow. Also the left finger was not finished completely by Leonardo da Vinci. The people who has the possession of Mona Lisa's painting who does the retouching, doesn't change his work and just repair some damage. One of the damage that has been made in the Mona Lisa's painting was on 1956 on the elbow of the painting, because of a rock thrown into the painting. Luckily the painting did not get so much damage, and the painting is still the original made by Leonardo da Vinci. It is said that the painting is acquired by Leonardo da Vinci assistant Salai. King Francis I of France bought the painting from Salai for only 4,000 ecus, and has been in the property of the French Republic. Today it is displayed at the Musee du Louvre in Paris, France. It is said that when you are happy and looked at the Mona Lisa painting, the painting is smiling. Once you are sad and depressed the Mona Lisa painting is sad also. After I have read that, it came to my mind that the Mona Lisa painting is becoming to look the same way you are feeling.

The Mona Lisa has been a famous painting since Leonardo da Vinci painted it. According to research Leonardo da Vinci didn't finished the Mona Lisa painting. It is said that he regretted that he didn't finished any single work that he created in his life. The Mona Lisa painting is displayed in a  purpose-built, climate-controlled enclosure behind a bulletproof glass. Since this famous is very famous in the world, many people go to France just to see this master piece. Even I, I want to go to France and see personally the famous painting that is called "Mona Lisa".  It is said that it captured million of hearts of the people, because its special and it has an unusual smile. In my opinion, it became famous because it is a painting of a woman who has no eyebrow and eyelashes. Lets tell the truth a drawing or painting of a person, doesn't look good if it doesn't have any eyebrow and eyelashes, but this painting still became famous. If I have been given a chance to go to France, I will go directly to Musee du Louvre and look at Leonardo da Vinci's painting.

Things to do to enhance creativity

Art, most art are done with creativity and passion. If you want your art to be known to people, you must have your own creativity in making one. Your creativity must be unique, good, and etc. If you're just new in ARTS you must learn to be creative, if your not creative enough, then your project will be just like the others. Make your own idea and style in making art, be creative. But what do you know in creativity? How can you improve your creativity? these questions will pop-up into your mind. You will think that you can't do it, but you will not know unless you tried, your not gonna loose anything if you tried. In enhancing your creativity you must think always. Use your imagination, as if you were still a child, cause most children have wonderful imagination. Also try not to have stress, cause it might ruin your idea.

In my opinion as a multimedia artist, lets say that use your imaginations often. I do these allot in making our projects. Try to draw in a pad everyday, to enhance your drawing skills and your creativity in making characters. Don't work so hard, try to relax and have time for yourself. Don't do always the same routine you always do. Explore there are lot of new things and idea you might get. Write, enhance your creativity in writing or making a story, also learn different words everyday to increase your knowledge in speaking. Don't think negative, always think positive, don't let yourself down. If your work didn't look as expected, try not to undo things, cause things might get worst. If your work is not beautiful as you imagine, thus it looks closely from what you copy, don't change it to be perfect. According from what I have read in the internet, one thing that also helps you to think deeply, is taking a shower, because Einstein get his idea whenever he takes a shower.
